Maple Cinnamon Butter Recipe
Creamy, sweet, unbelievable maple butter with a heavy touch of cinnamon. Similar to the honey butter served at Texas Roadhouse, but the maple in this Maple Cinnamon Butter Recipe gives it a perfect Fall time flavor!
Remember that time I freaked out about Texas Roadhouse Cinnamon Honey Butter and insisted that you leave your computer screen rightnow to go try it? And then I gave you the recipe to make it at home. Because we all need 24/7 access to that butter, right?
Wellp. I made more.
But in a slightly different way. This is Maple Cinnamon Butter recipe. And it is ah-mazing.
Remember these Pumpkin Cornmeal Pancakes? They were like ground-shaking, earth-shattering, life-changing good.
So I decided that I needed to make Pumpkin Cornbread this year. And I did (watch for that recipe to post soon)! Maple syrup was such a perfect compliment to those pancakes that I absolutely just knew that this cornbread would need to have some maple butter to go along with it.
I just had this gut feeling that it would be utterly spectacular. I just love it when I’m right. ????
That being said, this butter totally stands on its own. Frankly, I could eat it with a spoon. But if you’re not a straight up butter eater (what’s wrong with you??), here are a few other serving suggestions:
You could eat this maple cinnamon butter on toast.
On pancakes.
On muffins.
On soft, buttery biscuits (omg, YES).
Slather it on banana bread, pumpkin bread, and pretty much all breads ever.
But most of all… watch for that pumpkin cornbread recipe coming soon!!! Because pumpkin corn bread + maple butter = ????.

Pumpkin Dump Cake Recipe
Pumpkin pie on the bottom with a sweet crunchy layer on top. True to it’s name, the recipe is easy as dumping the ingredients in a bowl and stirring!
Pumpkin Cookies, Pumpkin French Toast, Pumpkin Fudge, Pumpkin Donuts, Pumpkin Bread, Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls, Pumpkin Cupcakes, Pumpkin Pancakes, oh my! Will the pumpkin madness ever end???
Maybe some day it will. But today is not that day.
Because today we are making something fabulously easy, crazy delicious, and undeniably pumpkin.
Pumpkin Dump Cake!
Have you ever had a dump cake before? It’s typically some kind of fruit or pie filling on the bottom (in this case, we’re essentially making a pumpkin pie for the base) topped with straight up cake mix (NOT batter) with butter drizzled over the cake mix to make it crunchy when baked.
It’s all about throwing a few simple ingredients into the baking dish and having it in the oven within just a few minutes.
We add a few extra steps to the standard dump cake version, because we’re making the bottom pumpkin layer from scratch. But I think you could use a canned pumpkin pie filling if you wanted to (no judgement here!).
I have to confess that I was stunned by how much I liked this dessert. I’m a little picky about the pumpkin foods I eat, and I just wasn’t sure about this one. The whole making and baking process, I kept thinking *I don’t think I’m going to share this one.* *Hmm… no, I just don’t think it’s going to be quite right.* *There is no way this is going to work.*
Well, shame on me! Because this turned out to be a really yummy recipe!
I normally refuse to eat pumpkin foods warm– I like them at room temp or cold, please. But not this one. This dump cake is heavenly straight from the oven with a big scoop of ice cream and a big glob of caramel sauce on top.
The pumpkin pie layer on the bottom is complemented perfectly by the crunchy cake mix layer on top. It’s almost like a crispy sugary cookie all crunched up and sprinkled over the pie. SO GOOD.
I added lots of caramel sauce to mine straight out of the oven, so it could seep into all the little nooks and crannies on top. I highly recommend, but you could get away with skipping that if you wanted to.
As I said before, I loved this warm with ice cream. But if you’re making it for Thanksgiving, you can definitely make it ahead of time and serve it room temp or cold (like a pie) with a big dollop of whipped cream! Enjoy 🙂
Chocolate Chess Pie Recipe
Decadent and delicious classic chocolate chess pie. This pie is a Southern staple, and it is absolutely incredible!
You guys! Thanksgiving is just TWO WEEKS away!!! How did that happen?!
Did you know Thanksgiving is by far and away my favorite of all the holidays (with July 4th coming in at a close second place)? And do you know what Thanksgiving and July 4th have in common?
PIE.
I’m not ashamed to admit that’s probably the reason I like them both so much. Apple pie in the summer. Pecan pie in the Fall. As we like to say here in North Carolina… ain’t nothin’ wrong with that. No sir.
Historically, this Chocolate Pecan Pie is always my favorite at Thanksgiving. My sister and I always fight over who makes the best one even though we use the exact same recipe every year. In the end, I usually let her make it because I’ve been making pie for a month by the time we hit the end of November.
And hers really is pretty good ????.
But this year…. I’m thinking things are gonna change. Because there’s a new favorite chocolate pie in town– move over chocolate pecan, I think this chocolate chess pie has you beat!
This pie is literally heaven on earth. I wish I had the words to do it justice. Crackly on top, rich and creamy chocolate custard in the middle, and a buttery homemade crust on the bottom.
I know I get a bit dramatic when it comes to dessert, frequently throwing out words like, “best!” and “life changing!” and “all-time favorite!” But in all seriousness, this pie is utterly life changing, the absolute best, and my new all-time favorite.
Trust me when I tell you that you need make room for this beauty on your Thanksgiving menu. You will not regret it!! In fact, you’ll probably need to make two, because it goes quick!
I’m just sayin…
