My Favorite Birthday Recipes

Today is my birthday! And what is a birthday but a day to eat all the delicious treats you restrain from all year long?? So, just for fun, I’ve compiled my 10 very favorite birthday recipes– ranging from breakfast in bed to the birthday cake. I’ve gotcha covered all day long! I hope you pin a few of these (or more!) and take the opportunity to indulge when your special day rolls around.

This dessert may not be your traditional birthday cake, but I can assure you it’s decadence makes up for that! And guess what? You can totally use this dip as a frosting or as filling in between layers of cake. Or just dip apples and pretzels, like I do!

For years, my favorite birthday treat came from Coldstone, but now I can make it at home! It’s so much easier than you’d ever guess, and it’s sure to make any birthday boy or girl very happy.

This recipe is a long-time standing favorite of mine. A donut twist on the famous NYC Zabar’s Black and White Cookies! Best of all– they’re baked, not fried.

So yum! If you’re looking for a classic chocolate cake (to dress up or eat it as is), this is the recipe you need. This cake recipe is simply a doctored up cake mix, but it can’t be outdone by a from-scratch chocolate cake– guaranteed! My chocolate buttercream pairs perfectly with the cake for an absolutely decadent, rich, and irresistible birthday cake!

Cinnamon rolls are like the ultimate in special occasion breakfasts in our house, and this recipe does not disappoint! It’s so easy to make and tastes even better than store-bought. Perfect for a special breakfast in bed!

These are crazy addictive, and this list just wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t include them! Pile them up and stick a few candles in for a rice krispie twist on a birthday cake. You won’t even miss the cake!

For the birthday boy or girl or who just can’t decide between pie and cake. Now you don’t have to! This fluffy cake tastes like it’s been drenched in pecan pie, and the flavors are simply out of this world. Caramel lovers– don’t miss out on this one!

Your dessert life just isn’t complete until you’ve tried this pie. It’s brimming with Caramel Delight cookies (Samoas) and chess pie filling. It’s ooey, gooey, and delicious warm or at room temperature. Definitely eat it with a scoop of ice cream!

I would eat this every day if I could! Combining Biscoff and berries is a genius move I swiped off WaffeLuv. As it turns out, the flavor combo tastes just as good in french toast as it does on waffles! Add a little maple syrup and whipped cream for a truly spectacular birthday breakfast experience.

What birthday cake list would be complete without Homemade Funfetti?? This recipe makes the best from-scratch funfetti cupcakes and frosting– way better than store bought!
