Peanut Butter Crunch Rice Krispies Treats
You know how there are certain foods that you just can’t stop eating? If they’re there, you are going to eat them until they’re gone. You know, those foods?
That’s what these are.
Krispies treats are addicting anyway, everyone knows that. But these are topped with a crunch peanut butter and chocolate ganache, almost like a frosting… but way better. And now that I’ve tasted them once, I want them all. the. time.
The concept for this topping actually came from my trip to the Duncan Hines Test Kitchen last month. Seriously, that trip was amazing in so many ways, but I especially loved getting to learn from Chef Joe.
I’ve never seen a person work sugar the way he did! He blew bubbles with a sugar syrup, stenciled beautiful patterns into cake rolls, made caramel sauce from scratch without breaking a sweat, and took ordinary ingredients and made them extraordinary… like peanut butter, chocolate, and corn flakes.
