Skinny Milk Chocolate and Caramel S’mores

Sorry to have missed Skinny Saturday last weekend! But after all of the packing and moving and sorting and cleaning and unpacking, I was sort of like I-really-don’t-care-if-I’m-skinny-or-not-I’d-rather-just-die!

But things are a little better this week, and I’m back to wanting to be skinny again! I’m a little nervous for my weigh in next week. I have a really small goal that I want to meet (just to be in the 170’s), and I know I’m close. But I’m going to have to be really good all week to meet that goal. No mess up days! And I really need to exercise every day.

The problem with that is: exercising is a little tougher than usual. My left foot still hurts from [what I think is] plantar facciitis. Although it held up to a 1 mile test run okay– it still hurt the next morning, but I could put pressure on it. Which is more than I could say for it the last time I ran! Unfortunately, I also managed to hurt the ankle on my other foot while hanging curtains yesterday. So basically I can do Pilates… which I really enjoy. But it’s not much of a calorie burner :( .

Ah, well. C’est la vie, right!?

And in the meantime, I’ll just get skinny by eating s’mores. Which sounds much more pleasant than exercising anyway! Kidding, kidding… sort of.

I can’t say that this is some impressive recipe… in fact it’s barely a recipe at all! But it’s a tasty little treat to keep in the back of your mind for the next time a s’mores craving hits! I’m calculating this at 128 calories (because *cough* I’ve *ahem* switchedcountingmethods *cough* again…) per s’more.

These were inspired by my very favorite S’more… Caramel Filled Ghirardeli Samoas S’mores. If you’re less concerned about the calories, you should for sure check that one out!

  1. Ooh this looks yummy & simple! Glad your move went okay & things are settling down a little bit!

  2. The only problem with these is I might just eat 10! Ooops! LOL

  3. Yum! These look like a great indulgence! I hate exercise but make myself do it most days. I love the results, I hate the effort. The great news is that if you find a muscle building activity that you like (or at least hate less), eventually muscles burn more calories than fat. I personally think pilates is awesome, but each person has to find something they are willing to stick with. All rules for exercise and diet goes out the window when there is life stress. Moving certainly qualifies as life stress!

  4. I’m sorry about your foot and ankle. :( S’mores will make it better. That’s like, a law or something.

  5. I was at 166 today…would really like to be in the 150s…

  6. Looks amazing Ashton and I really must try that chocolate – yum!

  7. So sorry about your foot. Congrats on getting moved in! These look like a great way to celebrate. Delicious!

  8. I hope your foot and ankle get to feeling better! I know injuries can be so frustrating especially when you are trying to lose weight. I love making microwaved s’mores and what a great idea to use the Skinny Cow caramel candy!

  9. Do you by any chance know the number of Weight Watchers points?
