Main Ingredients Needed for Smookies
- butter
- brown sugar
- eggs
- flour
- graham cracker crumbs
- chocolate chips
- marshmallow cream (or toasted marshmallows)
Recipe Tips & Notes
- Crush the graham crackers into a fine crumb so that they incorporate evenly throughout the dough.
- Try adding different mix-ins to the cookies instead of the chocolate chips– like M&Ms, peanut butter chips, or sprinkles!
- Try spreading peanut butter on one of the cookies and marshmallow cream on the other for a Fluffer Nutter Smookie!

Gooey Butter Cake is the best! You should definitely make the original recipe if you haven’t had it before!

LOVE them!!! S’mores rock. So does gooey butter cake. 🙂
I know! Why don’t we make Gooey Butter Cake every single day????
What’s not to love? Smore’s anything gets the thumbs up from me and these are no exception. They look wonderful!
Totally. I die over anything S’mores!

Oh my. These sound SO dang good!! I love things with marshmallows. And, I LOVE things with cream cheese. Can it get any better!?! I think NOT!! These are going on my to make list right now. Tonight I made some S’mores Rice Krispy Treats to go up on my blog tomorrow! We’re on the same wavelength 😉 I hope you watch out for them, they’re delicious!
Mmmmm! I LOVE anything S’mores! I bet your Krispie treats were SO good!
I’m absolutely in love with these cookies. Yep in love!
Thanks Jocelyn! They were one of my husband’s favorites!
Would love to make these. One question, when do you mix in the cake mix? I have re-read and re-read the recipe and don’t see anything about that.
Thanks so much, Jackie
sorry! It’s fixed now 🙂
Oooey, gooey, butter s’mores sounds heavenly!
I love all things s’mores! Will be saving this one!
Oh my … you combined two of my favorite things and made my new favorite cookie!!!
Those do look sinful-and drool worthy! Come to Mama!
Ashton! I love anything s’mores. These look so amazing. Perfect for summer. Kevin’s niece and I always roast marshmallows together to make s’mores and I know she’d love it if I baked these.
These look sooooo chewy and delicious! What a great way to make a s’more that can be packed in a lunch. 🙂 Gooey Butter cake started in St. Louis. Urban legend has it that it was a bakery mistake when someone put too much butter in a cake batter. The rest is history. 🙂 Thank goodness for delicious mistakes! And for gooey butter cake cookies!
Perfect snack around a summer campfire! Pinning!
I love how s’mores can be such a mess but oh so good!! These look delicious!
I’ll try just about anything that starts out with the words “ooey” and “gooey” Especially when there are huge chunks of chocolate involved.
