My brother loves Scotcheroos, and this Reese’s Overload Scotcheroos recipe were inspired by him 🙂 I got to thinking that Reese’s Puffs would be awesome in place of the rice krispies. And then to take out the butterscotch completely and make it 100% PB and Chocolate. Which would necessitate the addition of Reese’s Cups and Reese’s Pieces. Obviously. They were kind of awesome. Kind of really awesome. You’re gonna love them. Reese’s Overload Scotcheroos Recipe: SO EASY Making Reese’s Overload Scotcheroos is an indulgent, no-bake treat that combines the best of peanut butter, chocolate, and Reese’s candy flavors. Start by placing 1 cup of white sugar and 1 cup of light corn syrup into a 3-quart saucepan. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring frequently until the sugar dissolves and the mixture begins to boil. Once boiling, remove from heat and stir in 1 cup of peanut butter until fully combined. The peanut butter adds a creamy richness that perfectly complements the sweetness of the sugar mixture. Next, fold in 7 cups of Reese’s Puffs Cereal, ensuring that each piece is well coated with the peanut butter mixture. Press the cereal mixture firmly into a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan coated with cooking spray. Set it aside while you prepare the decadent topping. In a 1-quart saucepan, melt 1 cup of chocolate chips and 1 cup of butterscotch chips together over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth. Spread this melted chocolate mixture evenly over the cereal base, creating a rich, gooey layer of sweetness. For the ultimate Reese’s overload, sprinkle 1 cup of miniature Reese’s Cups and 1 cup of Reese’s Pieces over the top. Let the bars stand until firm, then cut them into 2 x 1-inch pieces. The result is a deliciously sweet and crunchy treat that’s packed with Reese’s flavors in every bite—perfect for satisfying your peanut butter and chocolate cravings!
Based on the picture, you also add the candies when you add the cereal. Might want to add that to the instructions for clarification 🙂 I love Scotcheroos but these sound better. Reply
