There’s nothing quite like a smoothie to make me feel like I am totally winning at life. It’s one of the few sweet foods that gets to be healthy, yummy, and pretty all at the same time. I don’t think it gets much better than that.

Pineapple Dreamsicle Smoothie

We live on smoothies around here in the summer time (I wish I could say it was a year-round staple, but I guess we’re seasonally fickle eaters). In fact, I remember one summer, we made this Easy Smoothie every night as our dinner beverage instead of making a side dish to go with our meals! I’ve been thinking about reinstating that tradition this year. It’s sounding awfully good to this pregnant lady these days…

Pineapple Dreamsicle Smoothie

One of my favorite fruits to add to a smoothie is pineapple. It almost doesn’t matter what else you’ve put in a smoothie if there’s pineapple in there– it is going to be killer good. Something about that sweet spike of tangy is just so right in a slushy, creamy fruit-filled drink.

This recipe is super easy (as most smoothies are, bless them)– just three main ingredients: a frozen banana (to make it thick and creamy), frozen pineapple chunks, and orange juice. I like to add a splash of vanilla too, because it makes the whole thing taste like a tangy creamsicle smoothie.

Now, go make this smoothie and win at life!

Pineapple and creamy orange goodness come together in this simple and healthy smoothie.
