My Three Suns Non-Alcoholic Summer Drink Recipe posted by Staff Writer Pin Share Tweet Email Jump to Recipe One of my best friends gave me this recipe book full of ideas for all sorts of fun non-alcoholic summer drink ideas a few years ago. I was super excited about it when she gave it to me. But despite my best intentions, it sat on the shelf and gathered dust for quite a while. Last month, as I was preparing posts to be published during our moving/packing time, the book caught my eye again. Mostly because I was short on time, and what could be easier (and prettier) than a few fruity drinks?! I’m so glad I opened the book. And not just because I was right about these recipes being a time saver. It seriously opened up an entirely new world to me! I had never considered posting many drinks here, because I completely failed to see the potential for creativity in them. But these drinks have been so much fun to explore. And I can’t wait to work my way through more recipes in this book once we’re all unpacked in the new place next month! This non-alcoholic summer drink rekindled my love for floats. It’s a simple combination of apple juice and orange juice with a huge scoop of strawberry sherbet nestled right on top! It’s delicious, summery, beautiful, and a special treat the whole family will love on a hot day (or any day)! Don’t forget: all of the drink recipes I’ll be sharing are for serving to a crowd, but I think you could easily pare them down to just a serving or two. Oh wow this looks SO good! Love the subtle gradient effect on the second image especially! And love new-to-me books I re-discover on my shelf that previously went un-touched! pinned Reply
Not a fan of apple juice but think this would also be amazing with pineapple juice. (Still has “apple” in it.) 🙂 Reply
