This Biscoff Raspberry Stuffed French Toast is honestly the crowning achievement of every single recipe I’ve ever put on this blog. I know, I know โ bold claim! But keep reading and you’ll totally see why I love it so much I literally had my business debit card customized with one of these photos. Yup. Sure did. Why This Easy French Toast Recipe Is Unlike Regular French Toast Classic french toast โ or as the French call it, pain perdu โ is already dreamy. But stuffed french toast rolls take things to a whole new level! Instead of a plain slice of bread dunked in an egg mixture, we’re talking thick slices of bread filled with the most decadent cream cheese situation you’ve ever seen. The sweetened cream cheese filling is what separates this from your classic french toast, and honestly? Once you go stuffed, you never go back. If you love a hearty breakfast that impresses the whole family, this is your recipe, friend. Choosing the Best Type of Bread Here’s the thing โ your favorite bread makes ALL the difference. Texas toast, french bread, or any thick bread works beautifully here. You want thick slices of bread so the filling doesn’t bust out while you’re cooking! Slightly stale bread is actually PERFECT because it soaks up the milk mixture without getting soggy french toast vibes. Avoid super thin pieces of bread โ they just can’t handle the stuffing. If your bread is fresh, pop it on a prepared baking sheet uncovered overnight. Seriously, don’t sleep on this tip (well, you can โ the bread will do the work while you do!). How to Make the Sweet Cream Cheese Filling Okay, let’s talk about the real star here โ the sweet cream cheese filling! To mix cream cheese properly, make sure it’s at room temperature first (cold cream cheese = lumpy sadness). Grab a few tablespoons of cream cheese, some brown sugar, a splash of vanilla extract, and a little lemon zest, and beat it together until it’s fluffy and gorgeous. That’s your sweetened cream cheese base! From there, you can swirl in strawberry preserves, peanut butter, or Biscoff โ because the Biscoff plus raspberries combo I first discovered at a SLC waffle truck in February was absolutely LIFE CHANGING. I haven’t stopped since! Stuffed French Toast Rolls Step by Step Making a stuffed bread roll is easier than you think! Flatten your bread slices with a rolling pin, spread your cream cheese mixture and filling edge to edge, then roll them up snug. Dip each roll in the egg mixture, then cook in a single layer over medium heat until golden brown on all sides โ so beautiful! This whole process is basically making a PB&J, dipping it in the milk mixture, and frying it up. It practically makes itself! Tips, Toppings, and Make Ahead Recipes One of my favorite things about stuffed french toast recipes is how flexible they are! For favorite toppings, I’m obsessed with a drizzle of maple syrup and fresh fruit โ be still my heart. You can also assemble the rolls the night before (hello, ahead recipes!), refrigerate, and just cook in the morning. Total win for the whole family. For a fun variation, try my Cinnamon Roll Stuffed Baked French Toast โ also absolutely ah-mazing. Scroll down to the recipe card below for full details, and then please, PLEASE make this. I’m telling you โ this is what the roman empire was built on. Or at least it should have been. ๐โค๏ธ Continue to Content Biscoff Raspberry Stuffed French Toast Print Ingredients 1 loaf French Bread, sliced into 10-12 slices approximately 5-6 Tbsp Biscoff spread 1 pint fresh raspberries (or strawberries) 1 cup milk 2 eggs 1 tsp vanilla optional: powdered sugar and/or maple syrup for topping Instructions Heat a griddle to medium-high heat. Lightly spray with non-stick cooking spray. Whisk together the milk, eggs, and vanilla in a shallow bowl. Spread about 1/2 tablespoon of biscoff on a slice of bread and top with 4-5 raspberries. Spread 1/2 tablespoon of biscoff on a second slice of bread and place on top of the raspberries (biscoff side down). "Smush" the slices to seal together. Dip the sandwich in the milk-egg wash on both sides and then place on the griddle. Cook for 2-3 minutes until golden brown, then flip to cook on other side for 2-3 minutes until golden. Remove from heat and serve. Repeat with remaining ingredients. Notes I like using french bread the best for this recipe, because it is so soft in the middle; which allows you to "smush" and "seal" it better. Which means: less mess. Feel free to use more biscoff than recommended. I may have thrown an extra tablespoon or two in myself ๐
Biscoff spread does make everything so much better! I use their products all the time and can just imagine how wonderful this French toast must taste with it. The guy from Trader Joe’s asked me what I used Biscoff spread with, and then told me the correct response was “Everything” ๐ Reply
