Ingredients

  • Rhodes Bake-N-Serv™ White Bread
  • 3 tablespoon melted butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3-4 tablespoons milk

Directions

1. Thaw one loaf of Rhodes Bake-N-Serv™ White Bread according to the directions on the package.

2. Turn the dough out onto a non-stick surface and roll it out into a rectangle.

3. Leaving about 6 inches across in the center for the filling, cut strips along the sides of the dough. Use a straightedge to make sure they are all about the same length.

4. Spread the melted or softened butter on the dough, starting in the middle and working your way out to the edges.

5. Mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon, and then sprinkle the mixture over the dough.

6. Pull the strips up and over the center, alternating sides to create a braided criss-cross.

7. Bake at 350ºF for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and no longer doughy (gently push in the center to test for doughiness).

8. Whisk together the powdered sugar, melted butter, vanilla, and 3 tablespoons of milk (add 1 more if the glaze is still too thick). Spoon the glaze over the braid while the bread is still warm.

9. Add some candy eyeballs* (I used gumballs*, and they were PERFECT). Slice and eat warm!
