Funfetti Triple Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

Funfetti Triple Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

I know I’ve been promising an awesome new chocolate chip cookie recipe for the past two weeks, but it just hasn’t happened yet!! This time of year is INSANE for us (well, for everyone, isn’t it?), and I just haven’t had a spare moment to try the recipe yet. But it looks amazing, and I can’t wait to get back to the Chocolate Chip Cookie Experiment and share it with you!

Soon. I promise.

But in the meantime… how about these super, duper, supremely chocolate-y, sprinkle-filled Funfetti Triple Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars instead?

It’s all the buttery golden goodness of chocolate chip cookies with milk chocolate, semi-sweet chocolate, and white chocolate chips. Plus a burst of Funfetti flavor (no cake mix needed!) and LOTS of sprinkles to seal the deal.

Funfetti Triple Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

I hope you enjoy these as much as we did!

The combination of vanilla, butter, and almond extracts gives these buttery and chocolate-filled cookie bars that Funfetti taste-- without any cake mix!

Ingredients:

2/3 cup light brown sugar

2/3 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup butter

1/2 cup vegetable shortening

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoons vanilla extract

1/2 tsp butter extract

1/2 tsp almond extract

1 teaspoon vinegar, cider or white

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 large egg

2 cups All-Purpose Flour

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup white chocolate chips

1/2 cup milk chocolate chips

1/2 cup rainbow colored sprinkles

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375ºF.

Beat together the sugars, butter, shortening, salt, extracts, vinegar, and baking soda until smooth.

Mix in the egg.

Mix in the flour. Mix in chocolate chips and sprinkles.

Press the cookie dough into a lined 9x13 baking dish. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the top is golden brown.

Allow to cool in the dish for 10-15 minutes at least before cutting into squares for serving. Let cool completely before packaging or storing.
