Cute & Easy Frankenstein Cookie Bars Recipe posted by Staff Writer Pin Share Tweet Email These spooky Frankenstein bars are cute and easy Halloween treat! Historically, I’ve never been great at Halloween. I don’t know why. Maybe it’s because we hardly ever get Trick or Treaters. I think I’ve had a total of about 4 Trick or Treaters come to our house in the 10 years I’ve ben married. Maybe less. I’m not even sure. Last year I left a gigantic basket of candy unguarded on our door with a big sign that said “take as much as you want!” I came home to a still-full basket. So I guess you could say that my Halloween holly-jolly spirit has been deflated a few too many times. But the great thing about having kids is that they force you to do fun things you wouldn’t ordinarily do just to make them happy. So even though I haven’t been doing much to make Halloween fun in recent years, my daughter is finally getting old enough to demand some fun. Last year we threw together a super last minute, super fun little party with a few of her friends prior to Trick or Treating. It was a blast and so cute! This year I think I’ll plan ahead a little, and I’ll definitely be making these really easy Frankenstein Cookies. My daughter was pretty impressed with the test run, so I’m pretty sure they are kid-approved! I used my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe as the base (without the chocolate chips) and canned frosting to pipe on the details. Seriously, these cute little cookies could not be any easier– or cuter! Happy Halloween! I’m sharing this recipe in partnership with eBay.
