Beat together the butter and sugar until creamy, scraping down the sides as needed. Mix in the oil and the egg. Add the flour, cornstarch, cocoa powder, vanilla, and salt. Mix on medium until dough forms. It may take several minutes for the mixture to go from crumbles to large pieces of dough that stick together. If it takes longer than 5 minutes, add 1 tablespoon of milk at a time until stiff dough forms. 6.
