Our Week in Pictures + What I’m Loving
We’re in that little three-week lull we have in July between the 4th and our two family holidays at the end of the month, so things have been nice and quiet around here lately. And I haven’t been toting my camera around much this week, so I don’t have much from our day-to-day lives to share.
But since I didn’t post any of our Fourth of July pics last week, I figured today would be a good day for those :)
Our town always does their big fireworks show on the 3rd so as not to compete with Raleigh’s big show on the 4th (I always like ours better anyway though). So we did that on Sunday night. Which was good, because we had a rainy Monday!
Despite soggy conditions, we still participated in the annual kid’s parade downtown:
Afterwards, we hung out with cousins, ate good food, and then called it a day and went to bed early ✌????.
In other fun happenings… we also went to a Durham Bulls game!
I think Chris and I are going to try and go to another game the weekend of our anniversary without the kids. The games are always just a little too late at night for them, and we spend the whole time wrestling with them anyway, so no one REALLY gets to enjoy the game. But it’s such a fun atmosphere that I’d love to go and actually be able to relax and watch the game! I’ll let ‘cha know if we actually get around to it in a few weeks :)
Lastly, here are a few shots from CJ’s first birthday:
What I’m Loving
My husband’s work is doing some kind of weird office secret santa-type thing this week (I swear, his work is more like summer camp half the time than an actual job ????), and he came home with a list of his person’s “favorites.” So we went out and bought a few of the items (pretty much all candy and cookies, because… we do sweets. #duh), and for some reason it really spurred me back into doing some graphic design making cute little tags and prints to go with each of the gifts.
Here are a few:
(for a Take 5 candy bar)
(for a Coke)
Of course I can’t find my very favorite one all of a sudden, but it was something about sweet and sour and lemons. It was super cute, I promise.
All of this cute printable stuff really got me jazzed up to do more, so I also made this sweet Missionary Mom Survival Kit! I don’t know why I’m so attached to it, but I kind of love it :)
Oh! Which reminds me. I’m OBSESSED with this Scotch 3M glitter washi tape. Like… obsessed.
It’s the first washi I’ve ever tried that actually STAYS PUT. Plus… its gorgeous! I mean, GOLD GLITTER. What else could you want??
Wellp. That’s it from me. I’ll see you next week (and hopefully with a house update!!). ????
