Remember that time I freaked out about Texas Roadhouse Cinnamon Honey Butter and insisted that you leave your computer screen rightnow to go try it? And then I gave you the recipe to make it at home. Because we all need 24/7 access to that butter, right?

Wellp. I made more.

But in a slightly different way. This is Maple Cinnamon Butter. And it is ah-mazing.

Remember these Pumpkin Cornmeal Pancakes? They were like ground-shaking, earth-shattering, life-changing good.

So I decided that I needed to make Pumpkin Cornbread this year. And I did (watch for that recipe to post soon)! Maple syrup was such a perfect compliment to those pancakes that I absolutely just knew that this cornbread would need to have some maple butter to go along with it.

I just had this gut feeling that it would be utterly spectacular. I just love it when I’m right. ????

That being said, this butter totally stands on its own. Frankly, I could eat it with a spoon. But if you’re not a straight up butter eater (what’s wrong with you??), here are a few other serving suggestions:

You could eat this maple cinnamon butter on toast.

On pancakes.

On muffins.

On soft, buttery biscuits (omg, YES).

Slather it on banana bread, pumpkin bread, and pretty much all breads ever.

But most of all… watch for that pumpkin cornbread recipe coming soon!!! Because pumpkin corn bread + maple butter = ????.

Sweet pull apart bread made with Pillsbury cinnamon rolls, apple pie filling, and topped with a mouth-watering cinnamon icing.

Apple Pie Cinnamon Roll Pull Apart Bread Recipe

Sweet pull apart bread made with Pillsbury cinnamon rolls, apple pie filling, and topped with a mouth-watering cinnamon icing.

Have you ever made pull apart bread before? And I’m not talking about monkey bread. I mean flattened flaky layers of cinnamon rolls layered with decadent fillings and iced on top. I’ve seen several different variations across Pinterest and the internet. Some are filled with chocolate. Others with cinnamon. I saw several with different kinds of pie fillings ????.

This was my first time making a pull apart loaf, and, since I’ve been feeling the urge to do some Fall baking, I decided to make this an apple pie pull apart loaf ????.

Sweet pull apart bread made with Pillsbury cinnamon rolls, apple pie filling, and topped with a mouth-watering cinnamon icing.

The mechanics of this pull apart loaf could not be easier.

All you’ll need to do is grab three easy ingredients (2 cans of cinnamon rolls, apple pie filling, and a little extra cinnamon) and preheat the oven for 350F.

Flatten the cinnamon rolls with your hands, and simply alternate each cinnamon roll with a small spoonful of apple pie filling.

And OMG! The way your kitchen will smell while this is baking!! If you aren’t already in the mood for Fall, I can guarantee that the smell of this loaf wafting through your home will do the trick.

Sweet pull apart bread made with Pillsbury cinnamon rolls, apple pie filling, and topped with a mouth-watering cinnamon icing.

Now, if you wanted to, you could leave out that extra bit of cinnamon and make this a two-ingredient easy-peasy recipe.

But if you’re like me and can’t resist a little extra cinnamon, mix it into the frosting that comes with the cinnamon rolls before you spread it over the warm bread. Ah-mazing. It’s like cinnamon rolls and apple pies and a donut had a baby. It’s basically the best thing ever.

I think I’m finally ready to trade in my summer shades and s’mores if this is what Fall has to offer ????.

The best EVER banana bread on Something Swanky

The BEST Banana Bread Ever. Recipe

This banana bread is extra moist and extra delicious thanks to four whole bananas per loaf, brown sugar, and butter.

The best EVER banana bread on Something Swanky

Ok, you guys. I have to confess something.

I could have sworn I had already published this recipe.

Like…. truly. I’m not totally confident here that I didn’t post this just last week. I mean, I looked. But I’m kind of losing my mind these days, and I’m afraid I just sort of missed it.

So here’s the deal. If this is a repeat, can we all just agree to let it go? Look the other way and just pretend I didn’t already write this post?

I mean, I’m hoping I didn’t. But seriously, no promises.

Thanks gang.

The best EVER banana bread on Something Swanky

Oh! That reminds me– speaking of losing my mind…

My Facebook page was majorly hacked today. And I am SO SORRY! They have been posting the most horrible spammy posts, and I’m so horrified that my wonderful readers are seeing this stuff pop up in their feed with my name attached to it ????.

I spent all day chasing down Facebook humans (they don’t really exist, by the way), trying to delete the nasty posts for as long as I had access to the page, and asking people to report the page as hacked. It feels like digging a tunnel with a spoon… or however that saying goes. You know what I mean.

Basically… it stinks. It’s been a crazy long day and nothing actually got fixed where Facebook is concerned.

So there’s that. Fingers crossed we get things all sorted out by tomorrow ????????.

The best EVER banana bread on Something Swanky

Moving on.

You know what makes all the stupid Facebook hacker stuff go away? This banana bread.

Seriously. I’m making a batch tonight, because it’s the best food I could think of to adequately fill the void of a destroyed Facebook page that took 6 painstaking years of my life to fill with 200K followers and a gajillion dessert recipes.

Banana bread is the only thing that can help me at this point.

The best EVER banana bread on Something Swanky

And not just any banana bread. No, my friends. This is magic banana bread. THE BEST banana bread in the whole entire world ever.

That’s right. I said it.

It’s THE BEST.

Never, in all my years of banana bread eating, did I know that a piece of banana bread could actually melt in your mouth. Did you know that?! It can! THIS banana bread can. It has a moist, tender crumb that pairs with the crunch of walnuts in the most beautiful contrast of textures to have ever happened in a bread. In fact, I declare this bread to be so perfect that it doesn’t even need chocolate!

It is that good, folks.

If you’ve been searching for the perfect banana bread recipe– this is it folks. It doesn’t get better than this!

Hey hey, it’s 2017! So, tell me everything. Are you making New Year resolutions? Are you losing weight? Getting fit? Eating more dessert?

Wait. Just me? ????

Kidding. I actually started my 2017 health “resolutions” last week. After about December 27, I just felt like I couldn’t go another day without getting on track. And by “on track,” I mean Weight Watchers. Always. It’s my favorite go-to (see this post… and this one).

Speaking of Weight Watchers and zero point bananas….

Would you check out this Birthday Cake Banana Bread??

Because I’m sure this is exactly what Weight Watchers had in mind when they made bananas a point-free food ???? ???? ????.

This banana bread is perfect for a special birthday breakfast or just a fun way to use up those old bananas! Incredibly moist, easy to make, and so much fun.

This is my favorite cake mix banana bread recipe, and I think it is just fabulous. I’ve made Red Velvet Banana Bread and Brownie Banana Bread using this same recipe, and it’s just a super dependable delicious recipe. The bread is moist, full of flavor, and has an incredibly tender crumb.

Hang on a second.

Can we talk about my weird foodie vernacular here? Tender crumb.

Isn’t that the weirdest food terminology you’ve ever heard?? And once you know what it is, there really is no other phrase you can use in place of tender crumb for a food that has a tender crumb. The best way I can describe “tender crumb” is when the crumbs of a cake or bread are so moist that you can use the back of a fork to smush them and pick them up… does that make any sense to anyone but me?

And omg, I’ve said tender crumb so much now that it’s starting to look weird to me. ????

This banana bread is perfect for a special birthday breakfast or just a fun way to use up those old bananas! Incredibly moist, easy to make, and so much fun.

Soooooo…. to get back on topic: this banana bread.

It’s really just so much fun. It’s simple to make since it uses a cake mix (only 4 ingredients total!). Which also means that it has a wonderfully predictable cake-like flavor and fluffy texture. If you have any tired bananas just sitting around, may I suggest this Birthday Cake Banana Bread instead of a smoothie?

I’m just saying… ????

Nothing beats a thick slice of super moist chocolate chip zucchini bread smothered in butter.

We DEVOURED this bread. Inhaled it.

Like… it didn’t even last two days. It barely stuck around past the 24 hour mark.

Nothing beats a thick slice of super moist chocolate chip zucchini bread smothered in butter.

It’s incredibly moist thanks to THREE CUPS of zucchini and the brown sugar.

And can you see how shiny the chocolate chips are? That’s my favorite part. In both banana bread and zucchini bread, I love how the moisture seeps into the chocolate chips creating a little chocolate “bubble” around each chip. I know I’m not doing a great job describing this, but you know what I’m talking about right?

I don’t know why, but that just gets me every time. ????

Now, I’m no nutritional expert…. ahem, clearly ????… but I figure all the green veggies here make this bread a pretty square meal. Who’s with me?!

Enjoy a thick slice of this delicious zucchini bread warm or day-old, smothered in butter, with a tall glass of milk. You’ll be in heaven!

What kind of a banana person are you? My husband likes them still green. Which completely grosses me out. I like mine a little bit speckled and sweet, but still firm.

Actually, what I really like is when they’re about 3 days past their prime and turning perfectly brown and ready for baking something sweet 🙂

Like this Banana Streusel Bread. It’s a tweak on my very favorite, super moist banana bread recipe. I used all brown sugar to really up the moist factor, and I added a coffee cake-like streusel on top. And a little vanilla glaze drizzle to make it taste like you’re biting into a giant cinnamon roll.

But better. Because it has bananas. Which makes it healthy ????.

I have been OBSESSED with making homemade bread recently. Which is a little weird (and HOT!) for summertime, I know… but is homemade bread ever really out of season??

I actually have two different recipes I want to share with you, but for today– this Overnight Artisan Bread is what I’ve been making most frequently. And it’s been worth turning on the hot oven in the middle of June, I promise!

Ridiculously easy bread that is super crusty on the outside and steamy soft on the inside. You won't believe how fool-proof this recipe is!

Aside from the crusty outside and heavenly soft insides, there’s something else I really, really like about this bread.

It is SO EASY to make. And I mean, SOOOOOOOOOOO easy. You don’t need a mixer at all, in fact, you don’t even have to knead the dough! Just stir it with a spoon, and then cover it up to do it’s thing overnight.

Ridiculously easy bread that is super crusty on the outside and steamy soft on the inside. You won't believe how fool-proof this recipe is!

Yep– overnight!

That’s the other thing I love about this recipe. With most yeast breads, you have to be realllllly careful of the rising time. You always have to make sure that it rises just right— not too much or it will fall, and not too little or it won’t be soft and puffy. Which means, you usually have to be around to babysit the dough for an hour or two.

But not this bread! Mix up the dough (and let’s review here– no mixer and no kneading!), and then let it just sit on the counter overnight. It can rest at room temp for 12-18 hours!! That’s a whole lot of time that you DON’T need to babysit dough.

I seriously adore low maintenance  recipes like this one.

Ridiculously easy bread that is super crusty on the outside and steamy soft on the inside. You won't believe how fool-proof this recipe is!

Ok, so next up…. I didn’t get a picture of this part, but it’s not hard to describe:

After the 12-18 hours of rising, the dough will be puffed up in the bowl. Don’t worry, it shouldn’t look smooth and round like typical bread dough. It will be sticky and pocked, and it should be pretty much level and flat.

Use floured hands to grab the dough out of the bowl and gently form into a round disc. Loosely wrap the dough in plastic or a bread towel while the oven is preheating.

Once the oven and the pot have preheated, place the dough in the pot, cover, and start baking. Quick tip. If you ever burn a pot, here’s an article on how to clean burnt pots and pans.!

Baking the bread in a dutch oven (or any covered pot that is oven safe up to 450ºF) is what makes this bread taste so special! The steam from baking in a covered pot bakes the inside of the bread to soft perfection, and it’s also responsible for making an incredible crust on the outside.

Steam is like the secret weapon of bread-making. It does magical things. ????

Once the bread cools (if you can wait that long before digging in), slice it up and serve it with pretty much anything! It makes fabulous sandwiches, incredible french toast, and even makes for a classy dinner bread on the side.

Enjoy!

Happy Friday! Any fun plans for the weekend?

I’m hoping to squeeze in a few mini photo sessions (did I tell you that I’ve started doing portrait photography? It’s so much fun!)

But before I can get to my weekend, I have to get through the Farm Days field trip with my daughter’s class…. ????.

Maybe even as you’re reading this, I’m likely trudging through animal mud with a baby strapped to my chest, a handful of kindergartners at my side, and sneezing my way through horse dust.

I am not an animal person. I know I just lost about half of you, but it’s the truth. I’m not. No, I don’t even like your cute puppy. I mean, I’m not going to kick it while you’re not looking or anything. But I’ll kind of pretend to sort of half pet it and then spend the rest of our conversation hoping your dog’s hair doesn’t make my eyes swell up or give me itchy hives up and down my arm.

I swear, I really am a nice person. I just don’t do the animal thing.

And I’m not really a kids-that-aren’t-mine person for that matter (ha! and I’m only barely a kids-who-are-mine kind of person!)

So basically, what I’m getting at is this. Farm Days with my daughter’s kindergarten class is my own personal version of parental hell. And I would so much rather be planted on the couch with a book and a warm loaf of this blueberry bread.

Just sayin. ????

Moving on….

This bread is so spring time to me! It’s sweet and fluffy and packed full of juicy blueberries. Remember back when I had a weird thing with the texture of blueberries and could only eat them from a can and in muffins?

Thank goodness this Berry Cheesecake Trifle came along and totally changed how I feel about fresh blueberries! Just think about all the yummy things I’d be missing out on ????.

This bread would be so good with a lemon glaze! But it’s also amazing on it’s own, smothered in butter, fresh and warm out of the oven with a glass of milk and a good book. It’s the perfect spring time, Saturday morning breakfast 🙂

I hope you spend at least part of this weekend curled up on the couch with a thick slice of Blueberry Bread. Enjoy!
