Supplies for Rainbow Cupcakes

  • Americolor food color gel makes bold, beautiful colors! You can order online or pick up at your local Hobby Lobby. Wilton also makes a pretty decent food coloring gel that I buy at Walmart.

Ingredients for Rainbow Cupcakes

How to Make This Recipe:

  1. Mix together your favorite recipe for white cake. Divide batter evenly into 6 bowls.
  2. Mix in food coloring into each bowl of batter until you’ve reached desired colors.
  3. Line a muffin tin with baking cups. By the tablespoon, drop in one color in all the baking cups.
  4. By the tablespoon, drop in the second color of batter, right on top of the first color.
  5. Continue with each color until all the batter has been used up. DO NOT MIX.
  6. Bake according to direction in recipe. Let cool and frost with your favorite buttercream.
