Our Week in Pictures + What I’m Loving

Happy Friday folks!! I know I usually get this up on Thursday night, but yesterday was crazytown over here soooooo…. TGIF! ????

This week has been a bit of a blur (as I expect the rest of the weeks of the year to be), but according to my photostream (see?? This is why we have to take pictures of everything!) this is what happened in our world this week:

Look! We did go on that date after all! I’m the world’s worst put-putter. And I actually kind of hate it. But I love getting out of the house to actually do something and spending time with our friends :)

PS- isn’t my husband so handsome with a beard? I’ve surprised myself by loving it. I’m pretty sure I’ve got my wife-goggles on here, but I kind of think he looks like Prince Harry with a buzz cut ????

This chunk-a-munk had his 4-month check up and is 16lbs!

Speaking of The Chunk… I bought a sling this week (does anyone else own EVERY SINGLE contraption for carrying a baby known to man??). I remember loving this thing with Emma once she was big enough to sit up on her own, because I could just stuff it in my diaper bag and take it with me everywhere.

In other news: I started a new Instagram account. It’s totally dedicated to living a Weight Watchers lifestyle. I’ve been wanting to get involved in the weight loss Instagram community (yes, it’s a thing) for a while now, and finally decided to just jump in!

I break my food up into 6-7 5pp meals throughout the day. Doing it that way keeps me from bingeing and helps me to feel like my next meal is always just around the corner. So almost all of my food posts are of 5pp meals– I’ll rarely post anything more costly in points than that.

I’m still feeling a little self conscious about posting what I eat throughout the day— a little bit like this:

(I know some of you are like YES.) But posting some of my meal ideas has really helped me to stay on track, and I like that it basically creates a visual index of foods I’ve liked within the point range I want to stick with.

So there’s that. If you want to follow along, you can find me on Instagram here: @somethingswankyWW.

These. YUM. Expensive, but yum.

Eeeeeeeep!! I am SO excited about this. I am unabashedly obsessed with the Lunar Chronicles (yes, I’m a grown woman who loves a good teen sci-fi fairytale/cyborg mashup novel), and I just got my pre-ordered Kindle copy this week! I’m forcing myself to finish the other book I’m in the middle of, but I’m hoping to start this one over the weekend :)

Keeping it short and sweet this week– I’m outta here! Have a great weekend, friends :)
