Our Week in Pictures + What I’m Loving
Can I confess something? I’m a little bit ready for Christmas. ????
I know. Are you so judging me right now? I totally get it. I usually judge people who get all Christmas-y overly early too. But I can’t help it, I’m just SO ready this year. Still friends?
So I haven’t really been minding how fast October is FLYING by. And it is flying by, isn’t it?? The only thing I can’t stand about this month going so fast is that my baby is GROWING so fast with it!
This week he started rolling from back to tummy like a champ, and it’s breaking my heart just a little at how soon this milestone arrived! Wasn’t he just born??
While we’re on the subject of my pipsqueaks… it was School Spirit week at my daughter’s school. She particularly liked Crazy Hair Day:

Tuesday was “Mismatched Socks” day, and she was like “uh, Mom… we do that every day.”
Went to Time Out For Women in Richmond, VA with my mom (and the 4 other fabulous women pictured here). If you’re not already familiar, TOFW is a 2-day inspirational conference full of wonderful speakers, music, and even some shopping. It was a great little get-away! And I even survived my first hotel stay with baby :)
We had some family pictures taken! It was somewhat spur of the moment, so my hair isn’t just how I’d like it to look… and neither is my waistline for that matter. But I LOVE that we have some beautiful, well-lit photos of our little family of 4. I’m tucking away the one we want to use for Christmas cards, but here are a few of my other favorites:
My mom’s best friend took the photos, so my mom was with us. Since she was there, we also snagged this three-generational shot:

What I’m Loving…
Ok, I know I mentioned this last week, but I’m loving power walk YouTube videos. At first, I felt a little silly. I mean, I’ve been really active in the past. I like to run and do kickboxing and HIIT. But my joints just can’t handle much of that stuff anymore, so I’ve been looking for really low impact workouts that I can do in my living room.
It definitely feels a little ridiculous to walk in place, but I’ve been surprised to find that I really do end up breaking a sweat. I even took a sweaty selfie for proof:
It might take a little longer than if I were doing something more intense, but it still ends up being a good workout. And I don’t mind the extra time because it’s not that intense (and sometimes I even skip the video and just do some of the moves on repeat while I’m watching TV). Plus, it’s helping me get my 10k steps each day!

Like I said… it feels a little silly. And a little bit like you’re not going to get a real workout. But I swear, I’m sweating pretty good by the end of it, I feel good, and I’ve even been just a little bit sore. And it’s not killing my knees and feet, which is a nice change for me in the fitness world. So overall: ???????? I give it two thumbs up!
