Our Week in Pictures + What I’m Loving

This week is officially dubbed as the week of  “oh crap, I forgot my camera again!”

So I’ve got a lot of phone photos this week. Which isn’t a huge deal, except for the fact that we went to Duke University this week and it was a GORGEOUS setting! I SO wish I had had my camera on me, because there were some really beautiful photo ops that I missed out on.

I guess we’ll just have to go back another time. With camera in tow, of course :)

It’s really an incredibly beautiful campus. This is us in front of the Duke Chapel. It’s under construction through next year, so we didn’t get to go inside, but we enjoyed walking all around it!

Also worth mentioning (and not pictured): Duke University has an 1830 edition of the Book of Mormon in their rare books collection. We went and saw that and actually got to handle the book and turn the pages. It was pretty amazing!

Chris and I snuck back out to the fair for a midweek date that included Pimento Cheese Jalapeno Bacon Hushpuppies. ????

This kid discovered his toes this morning, and he just can’t get enough of them! And I can’t get enough of watching him play with them :)

What I’m Loving…

Lots of stuff for this section this week!

First off…

I’m loving my newest Stitch Fix Box. If you want to read more about Stitch Fix and why I love it, check out this post. I felt like my stylist for this box was the best so far. She really picked items that especially work for me as a nursing mom and during this awkward time of trying to get my body back to pre-baby weight. This shirt was my favorite from the box (although there was a denim jacket that came in a close second):

It buttons up in the back, which I think is darling. And I love the asymmetrical design. It’s super cozy and fits just right.

They also sent me a bag this time (my first time getting a non-jewelry accessory)! And I am a bag FANATIC. It’s a big tote with three divided sections, and zippered in the middle. It’s perfect for diaper bag duty and the cutest color for Fall. LOVING it.

This Vanilla Bean Extract “Crush.” It’s like vanilla extract (not thick and syrupy like vanilla paste) with vanilla beans in it. The flavor is INTENSE and amazing, and I am already totally addicted. I bought this bottle at TJ Maxx, but I’ll be looking for a good deal ordering it online. I’ll be sure to let you know what I find, because EVERYONE should own a bottle of this!

I’m loving this JessicaSmithTV YouTube channel. I found it via Tone and Tighten, and it’s become a fast favorite for me. I’ve struggled with a foot injury and a knee injury for years, so I’m always in search of a good low impact workout. I love her workouts, and I love that she has such a variety of workout lengths and types. Sometimes I do a quick 10 minute workout, and some days I go for 45 minutes– she has lots of both! And her workouts are designed to be done in a small space, which is another challenge I have to work around living in an apartment and being mostly homebound with a baby.

Here’s the 20-minute, 1 mile power walk workout I did this morning.

Lastly (and yes, I see the irony after the fitness video)… this. All kinds of yes.
