Housekeeping

Hi friends.

I hope your Monday weather is as glorious as mine. I can’t get enough of that blue sky today!!

Sadly, I’m not here to share a recipe today. Instead…. I just wanted to let you know I’m playing a little hookie for a few days. Well. That’s not quite right either. Hookie implies I’ll be doing something fun.

Really, I just have a little housekeeping here on the blog that I need to take care of. I’ve been putting it off for months and months and months (like really, over a year now), and I just never seem to get to it. So I’m going to take a few days off from my regular baking, photographing, and posting to work on all my broken links, menus, and other navigation issues here on the site. Hopefully after a few days of really hammering it out and not being distracted by my other work, I’ll be all done and can re-focus on dessert next week!

In the meantime… how about something yummy for the road? These are my top five drop-what-you’re-doing-right-now MUST MAKE desserts (in my humble opinion) ????.

I can’t get enough chocolate chip cookies in my life. And these Chewy Double Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies are my favorite recipe so far!

We gobbled up these Snickerdoodle Gooey Cake Bars— and didn’t even feel bad about it. They’re like some cosmic combination of cheesecake and snickerdoodles and cake. And butterscotch. It’s amazing.

This dip is like eating cheesecake with a spoon. And it is omg good.

My heart skips a beat when this Oatmeal Cake shows up! Caramel, coconut, and pecans are all ooey and goey piled on top of a hearty oatmeal cake. The cake just drinks up all that caramel goodness like a sponge, and it is dee-licious.

This homemade French bread is a STAPLE in our house! We can eat it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and still have room for more. There’s nothing quite like it when it’s hot and fresh from the oven. Smear on the butter and drizzle with lots of honey!

Okay, okay– you knew I couldn’t really stop at just five, right??

Here are a couple more of my very favorite recipes from Something Swanky:

Remember how obsessed I am with these brownie mix cookies? Add M&Ms and you have one of my favorite treats EVER. Seriously. Make these now.

I daydream about this Scotcheroo Banana Bread sometimes. And that peanut butter butterscotch ganache on top? It’s the best part. Except for maybe the ultra-moist butterscotch banana bread. Fine. I just love the whole thing!

Ok, that should give you plenty to do for the next few days! I’ll be back on Thursday or Friday with my regular posts and then back to recipes on Monday. XOXO
