These look amazing. Thanks so much for sharing. I will be making them for the husband soon! YUMMY!
Sarah @feistyeats
Just four cupcakes? That’s awesome. ‘Cuz then I won’t feel so bad when I eat the whole batch (as opposed to when I eat a dozen). Anything with cookie dough…
WHOA.
oh yum, that was definitely worth the wait.
These look amazing! Pinned the recipe and your newest GFC groupie! Thanks for sharing!
So glad she emailed you and now we all benefit – YUM!
These are so creative. Love them!
Thanks for sharing on my first ever link party @ dwellonjoy.blogspot.com!
Made your monster cookie dough dip for a party last weekend – it was a huge hit, especially with the kiddos! Putting it on cupcakes is a great idea!
these look SO good. but i do not like peanut butter (or really ANY nut butter). is there something i can sub?
What about nutella? I don’t like nut butters either, but I loveee nutella.
I just made these (a full recipe) as mini cupcakes. They are fantastic. I also pinned them. Thanks for the fun, new recipe.
I just found you and am so glad I did! I (like you) spend so much time browsing the internet for new drool-worthy blogs, and yours is by far my new obsession! You have such amazing recipes and ideas and wonderful photos! I can’t wait to follow you to see what comes next!
@jilliann mmmmmmm…… I really can’t think of a great sub since these are essentially peanut butter cupcakes… BUT, if you wanted to just make the dip, you could substitute cream cheese? That would be more of an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie dip, but hey! If you don’t like M&Ms, maybe that would work for you
And then if you want it on cupcakes, just make your fave yellow cake recipe to put it on!
I could eat the frosting by the spoonful. I probably wouldn’t even make the cupcakes.
What a great idea to put the dip on cupcakes!!! Of course I might just eat all the dip before it makes it to the cupcakes:-)
Somehow I can force myself to go home from work to make 4 cupcakes wtih 1 bowl much easier than I can force myself to make a whole batch! Sweet treat for me and the roommates tonight! Thanks!
These look super good!! We are so glad that you linked up to our “Strut Your Stuff Saturday”. We hope you will come back next Saturday and share another recipe! -The Sisters

Any instructions on how to maybe triple the recipe?? I was gonna make these but for a family of 5……4 cupcakes are not gonna hold up lol
Amazing! I’ve got to give these a go. Pinned!
These cupcakes looked really delicious, so my 2 best friends and I decided to spend an afternoon baking. We baked the cupcakes and they came out of the oven looking perfect, however once actually tasting the cupcakes, we discovered that contrary to their looks, they tasted disgusting. We also made the frosting which turned out looking and tasting like stale peanut butter flavored oatmeal. We thought we must have done it wrong, so we tried again and they came out even worse! This time we tried not adding the peanut butter and using less oats. They tasted like cardboard and flour (which is what the cupcakes tasted of as well), not one bit like the delicious cookie dough frosting you described. We are very disappointed in this recipe and are quite sure that you have made a mistake in the portions of ingredients to add. We do not recommend this recipe to anyone who would like to eat delicious cupcakes as shown in the pictures.
Thank you for all four of your negative comments (super classy, by the way).
In an effort to improve the recipe and find out where it may have gone wrong for you, I re-made the cupcakes this afternoon following this recipe exactly as it’s written. Just like before, they turned out delicious. The error must be on your part somewhere.
Fortunately– not a total waste of time. These desperately needed a re-shoot anyhow.
PS- I won’t be approving your other three comments. It’ll help you save face.
I have been meaning to write since I first tried this recipe. I have made these cupcakes numerous times (exactly as written, by the way) and they are beyond delicious!!! Thank you so very much for this recipe. These cupcakes make me so happy every single time I make them (I eat 2 right away and freeze the other 2) So perfect!!!!XO
