It’s day #3 of Mother’s Day prep week. How’s it going? Are you ready??
Here’s another delicious and simple treat idea which requires very little baking/cake decorating expertise. {but you will need a crew of little helpers who can color inside the lines}
Flower Patch Cupcakes:
| What? You don’t like to eat your cupcakes off of the ground? Just me? |
Ok, so easy. So cute.
Ready? Here we go…
Prep Work:
*bake cupcakes
*buy or prepare frosting
*crush chocolate cookies (oreos and chocolate goldfish work well)
Scoop about 1 tablespoon of frosting onto your cupcakes and press each one into a bowl of the crushed cookies. Like so:
Cut out and color these printable flowers {this is when little helping hands are especially useful}:

Tape each flower to a toothpick and insert into the top of the cupcake:

All done! Unless you’d like to go the extra mile and really wow Mom. You do? Well, I found a few cutesy ‘flower’ sayings that would be awfully cute in a Mother’s Day card– I thought I’d share:
“If Moms were flowers, I’d pick you!”
“For thee, the earth puts forth sweet flowers.”
“If I had a flower for every reason I love you, I would walk forever in my garden”
{And don’t forget it’s Teacher Appreciation Week. These would work for a special teacher– “If TEACHERS were flowers, I’d pick you!”}

Adorable!!!
