Welcome to Sweet Treats Thursday! Only my favorite day of the week :)

Actually, it's not my favorite day of this week. Hang on and keep reading-- I'll get to it.

I have something very exciting to talk to you about today.
It's not dessert related or even related to the blog-- at all.

But since this is my blog, authored by me, I get to bypass desserts on occasion and tell you about my personal life :)

My favorite day this week is going to be tomorrow.
Well-- tomorrow around midnight.
So, technically, Saturday.
Want to know why? Because this guy is coming home:

Do you know who that is? I've posted his picture once before, maybe you remember. That's my kid brother, Keaton. He's coming home tomorrow after serving a 2 year mission for The Church of Jesus-Christ of Latter-day Saints, during which we don't see him or talk to him. Just letters and emails-- aside from one phone call on Christmas and Mother's day.

Keaton is my second brother. The brother just older than him also went on a 2 year mission. Their missions overlapped-- meaning: they haven't seen each other (and the whole family hasn't been together) in FOUR YEARS! Keat hasn't even met his first and only niece (my daughter) yet-- so it's going to be an exciting homecoming and Christmas this year!!!

So please be understanding with me as my posts may be shorter than usual and/or sporadic as I will be spending a lot of quality time with the fam :)

Ok, ok. Is anybody around here READY FOR SOME DESSERT?
