"Bleeding" my team's colors isn't really my thing. I get squeamish walking by the blood drive booths. Heck-- I get squeamish just looking at the signs for the blood drive.
But eating and drinking? That I can do-- no problem. Bring on the Cougar Blue food and drink!
{these recipes are, obviously, adaptable to any team colors... but let's think BYU!!}
White Chocolate Marshmallow Cinnamon Sugar Popcorn
Recipe Source: Something Swanky
Ingredients:
- 1 bag mini marshmallows
- 2 bags popped popcorn
- 3 tbsp. margarine or butter
- white chocolate for melting and drizzle (to taste)
- approx. 1 tsp. cinnamon (to taste)
- approx. 1 tbsp. cinnamon sugar for sprinkling (to taste)
- food coloring (optional)
- Melt marshmallows and butter in large bowl in microwave 1-2 minutes. Stir until smooth.
- Add food coloring (if desired) and cinnamon.
- Stir in popped popcorn.
- Spread popcorn over a well greased baking sheet.
- Drizzle with white chocolate, and sprinkle cinnamon sugar over top.
White Chocolate Hot Chocolate
(Serves 4) Recipe adapted from: Paula Deen
Ingredients:
- 4 oz. white chocolate (baking squares or chips)
- 2 c. heavy whipping cream
- 1 c. milk (I used 1%)
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- food coloring (optional)
- Warm chocolate and 1 cup of heavy whipping cream over medium heat until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth.
- Add in remaining whipping cream and milk. Keep stirring until warmed through. Add vanilla.
- Add in food coloring (if desired) at any step.
